Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 is one of the first models from the Taiwanese manufacturer with two screens built into the housing. In this model, the role of the second screen is played by the ScreenPad 2.0 intelligent touchpad. It is a modern, intelligent touch screen that is integrated with the touch pad. The device is incredibly thin and has small dimensions, and the weight is only 1.22 kg. This makes it ultra-mobile equipment, with strong components and a dedicated graphics card. Let’s start with the specifications of the device.

Appearance
The materials used to build the Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 are 100% aluminum, even inside the laptop. The complete lack of plastics guarantees excellent durability of the housing, making it very stable and rigid (the laptop bends at a very acceptable level when carrying). This is a huge positive feature for the mobile purpose with which the laptop was created. The military standard MIL-STD-810G guarantees that the laptop is resistant to shocks, vibrations, high and low temperatures. However, I do not recommend testing it in extreme conditions. The color scheme is the same, in a shade of dark gray. The laptop looks very elegant and slim.
The back of the lid has patterns characteristic of Asus, as if specially left lines after oval brushing. The lid is mounted on hinges that, when lifting the back of the case, raise the laptop up a few millimeters, creating a slight slope towards the user. This allows for a more natural and comfortable hand position while typing. On the back there is also a silver-plated concave logo of the manufacturer. The back cover has a slightly metallic sheen, which may be a minor drawback as such gloss tends to easily pick up fingerprints which need to be cleaned regularly.
The screen casing is very narrow, which gives the impression that the screen is larger and is not overwhelmed by the side bezels. Working on it gave me much more pleasure and, frankly, it was less exhausting for me. After finishing work, I was much less tired and even sat down to read a book, where I usually don’t do it right after work.
The computer’s working panel takes on slightly more matte colors, thanks to which the problem of fingerprints is minimized. The keyboard does not have a separate panel for the numeric keypad. The size and layout of the keys suited me very well and I got used to them very quickly. After an hour of work, I was able to type on Asus without looking at the keyboard every now and then to find the right key. The jump itself is small, but very noticeable, which only intensified my pleasant feelings while writing. The laptop also has an adjustable backlight in the keyboard.
In general, the elegant style designed by the Taiwanese and the good materials that were used in the production give the feeling that holding the Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 in my hands, I feel great fun having premium class equipment.
Greatly enhanced functionality with two screens
Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 has an LED touch screen integrated with the touchpad, which significantly increases the possibilities and facilitates work. We can use this screen as a panel of shortcuts to the most frequently used applications. You can set a second window used during work on it. It is also adapted to graphic and music editors. However, the screen could be a bit bigger. We have seen such a solution in the Asus Zenbook Duo, where the additional screen has ~ 14 inches.
High functionality can go hand in hand with performance?
Absolutely! And the Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 is an example of this. The central unit is the efficient Intel Core i7-1165G7 chip (2.80-4.70 GHz, 12MB cache), and the dedicated GeForce MX450 graphics card even allows you to run a large number of games in high details. The SSD will quickly fire up and save any file, as well as load the operating system in a few seconds, and 16 GB will allow you to handle many tasks at the same time.
